General instrument operation and maintenance will be taught as well as proper interpretation of readings and documentation. Based on NFPA 1670 Standard.
MODULE 3 :
Confined Space Respiratory Protection Training (Half-Day)Participants will review the basic operational principle of Self-Contain Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and Supplied Air Respirators (SAR) and Cartridge Respirators. Learn the proper sequences for donning and doffing as well as proper mask fitting to ensure correct seal. Potential problems that may arise while wearing respiratory protection and the remedial actions necessary for safe usage will also be covered. Based on NFPA 1670 Standard
MODULE 4:
Confined Space Non-Entry Rescue Training (Full Day)Learn safe and practical non-entry methods for casualty rescues from a confined space environment. Methods to rig overhead anchors, use safety lines and tripods, operate retractable lifelines and winch systems will be demonstrated and practised extensively. Participants will also learn how to set up and operate rope-based mechanical hauling systems and using remote casualty connection techniques. Fall Protection issues will also be discussed.
